Editing our opening sequence Day 10

For this lesson, we had booked a time slot with Michael, our tech guy for some help to improve our text, this was also one of things said on the feedback, for us to improve upon.

The font before was basic and boring and did not show the standard of work we are aiming to acheive, the programme we were shown and used was livetype, the reason being is that it is reasonably easy to use, there are a variety of fonts, there are a number of conventions and transitions to add and you can really play around with the text until you find something suitable, after a while we had chosen the style and made one style type for all the fonts showing consistency, it was very easy to add to final cut, just a matter of drag and drop.

Overall just by putting a bit of time into the text, it has made such a big difference, even the music fits well and so does the genre, the text is now vibrant and works really well and this shows the standard of work we are aiming to achieve,

Editing our opening sequence Day 9

We came back after half term and went straight into the editing and we did some minor improvements and added the titles (which were basic and amateur), we are extremely close to the final. In our next lesson we went around analysing the videos of our peers and they analysed ours so we hopefully got helpful feedback to improve our work.

Editing our opening sequence Day 8

With the feedback we had got previously, we took the advice and suggestions and had taken these two in to consideration for the completion of editing and are have now basically finished, advice previously given included, trimming some clips and this we found was effective and helped, although, there were other things, we had taken a few things in to consideration ourselves as well, this included making the audio to fit best with our footage also, titles and credits, fixing it mostly ourselves except from one or two little parts were we asked Michael our technician to help, also editing music was done ourselves mainly with help from Shehryar, as he had learnt and edited before.
Overall though, we didnt have much to do in our lesson except the minor editing and tweaks. The lesson proved very succesful even though we had made minor adjustments this gave us the satisfaction because you usually do this towards the end and so we felt that we are on the verge of completing, making our opening sequence and so were quite proud of oursleves.

Editing our opening sequence Day 7

So we have got out video to 2 minutes and 25 seconds, and we just got a lot of in depth feedback from our teacher indicating to us on what parts to keep and how to resolve other problems. We then got a overall all feedback from our other teacher who looked at the video as the audience. There were no major improvements, we were told to trim a few milliseconds of each scene and bring out the brightness and sharpness of a few other scenes. We are close to the ending of our editing, only have titles and credits to add.

Editing our opening sequence Day 6

These are the pictures of me(Vithush) & (Ashad) editing and making some minor improvements to our storyboard.

Editing our opening sequence Day 5

So the editing went well and we are nearing the end, made a few more improvements. The one main problem we had was the length of our video because the brief said it should be two minutes maximum however our video was four minutes long. We didn't want to remove any second of the video, but somehow we got the video down to 3 minutes but a looong way to go.
